“False media, we don’t need it ...do we?” - Chuck D

Inspired by Fluxus event scores, propaganda posters, false advertising and the FOMO affliction, the MONOFOMO POSTER PROJECT by Clare Cooper is the imaginary (and delayed) public program of the 20th Biennale, existing only as screen printed posters in the city, these invitations to the impossible will trigger a desire that cannot be fulfilled for socio-political, economic, geographic or psychological blocks and blockages. The project problematises the safe, market-driven, male-dominated, apolitical pre-packaged lineups of the international music festival circuit. Aiming to level the playing field of access, MONOFOMO plants the event firmly in an inaccessible yesterday.
