New page

[https://andrealimyz.com/ Andrea Lim]

Andrea will be developing sections of “All the Ghosts I Know Are Women” - a 45-min live performance work and concept album complicating the folkloric and ghost tales of the Pontianak and the 女鬼. The work subverts these tales and repositions the ghosts as feminist symbols of justice.

At the residency, Andrea will be developing an accompanying experimental performance lab for the live work. The eventual public lab will support interdisciplinary artists-thinkers to engage in the work’s core themes of desire and agency through sound, movement, image and text.
