Every Friday throughout September and October 2023, Andreas Mertin is in residence to conduct research for the project entitled, "In Verse Probability: A Speculative Biography of the Reverend Thomas Bayes."
A description of this project is below:
Combining the scant details of Thomas Bayes's life, the computational methods generated from his famed theorem, and the ludic spirit of 'pataphysics,' this project will create a speculative poetic biography. As such, it seeks to entwine two modes of thinking: the computational, the way of algorithms and probable likelihood, and the poetic, with its focus on the specific and excepted.
