What is a History Harvest?

A history harvest is a method for co-creating historical narratives by inviting community members to share their lived experiences, family stories, photo albums, and household keepsakes with researchers and fellow community members. Researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln developed history harvests to conduct a "people's history" of the often overlooked small towns of the American Midwest. This project is supported by a 2023 Inner West Council Community History Grant.
