Becoming a Signatory to the Frontyard Bank Account
Currently these are handed down in a number of ways (through Slack, via a Google Doc Janitors Handbook, together as we work and in Janitors Meetings).
We would like to better document these activities for transparency and to enable broader participation, and so can also use this space to document our practices. This space offers technical how-to's. Check out the Janitors' page - the role and stories for individual janitors' perspectives and experiences. == Becoming a Janitor == We need more janitors!!!  Have you ever wondered how a janitor is created? The experience can vary from person to person, but to get an idea of the process, read How HC became a janitor at Frontyard

# Send the person the Login Page.
# If they are a resident, send them to the Residencies page and ask them to add their name and dates to the table, and use the page for whatever documentation or articulation they would like. Remind them that the wiki is an open, evolving digital garden that they can contribute across.

Becoming a Signatory to the Frontyard Bank Account
When you become a "signatory" to the Frontyard account, you have official access from the bank. Not all janitors need to become signatories, but sometimes there are some that do. To become a signatory, you need to do the following:

# Make an appointment with the Westpac branch at Marrickville Metro (The appointment will take about 30-60 minutes; hopefully, an appointment will save time). Double-check that all the instructions below are the same as listed (Background: The Westpac branch where we opened our account has moved to the inside of Marrickville Metro. It is shared with St George's bank. Make sure to liaise with a Westpac representative instead of a St George representative. Also, banks change/merge/morph all the time, which is why these instructions might change for the bank).
# Go to a physical bank branch with an existing signatory of the account during your appointment.
# New and existing signatories need to bring a driver's License and Medicare Card (for citizens) or Passport (for non-citizens)
# You also need to bring a printed-out copy of the most recent meeting minutes with a resolution saying that "[New Signatory Person's Name] is to become a Signatory on the Frontyard Bank Account."
# Then, talk to the Westpac representative.
